TAKOMA PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- A 37-year-old Hyattsville man was arrested after he threatened a Takoma Park police officer with a knife Sunday night during a traffic stop, police said.
Felenciano Felindo Sanchez, 37, of Hyattsville was arrested for disorderly conduct, second degree assault, and failure to obey a lawful order, Takoma Park police said.
Around 9:20 p.m. a Takome Park officer made a traffic stop in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Takoma Park. Sanchez was causing a public disturbance across the street, authorities said.
He crossed the street and started walking in the direction of the police officers. A witness yelled and warned officers that Sanchez had a knife.
